CASS Incorporated receives three year accreditation

Published: Friday, October 3, 2008 9:16 AM CDT
CASS Incorporated announced that the organization has received notice from CARF International, Tucson AZ, that it has been awarded a three year accreditation, the maximum award, for the services it provides to people with disabilities. CARF accredited service providers are recognized among an international community of persons served, peer facilities, and programs for superior standards of care and excellence in outcomes. Three surveyors spent two days with CASS Incorporated employees reviewing records, visiting community based service locations and talking with persons served and their families. CARF surveyors are among the industry’s most knowledgeable and respected experts in the field of rehabilitation and human services and are the primary link to industry innovations and standards improvements.

Accreditation is a key indicator that an organization cares about delivering quality services to its customers and is a “seal of quality” that the organization’s services have been awarded because they have delivered positive results. CASS Incorporated received accreditation in seven areas of community integration, supported living and employment services.

CASS Incorporated received two Exemplary Conformance notations in the areas of individualized safety planning and in career exploration. Exemplary ratings are rarely given and denote an area of intense “above and beyond” standard compliance.

The survey report cited strong leadership, dedicated, well trained and committed staff with a good record of tenure, an extremely positive community reputation and the extreme satisfaction and benefits received by persons served due to the many opportunities for personal growth and choice that CASS Incorporated provides.
