Elk Horn's Liberty Car Show set for Oct. 4

ELK HORN - Car show fans will have another opportunity to view or show their classic cars. Elk Horn's Liberty Car Show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Danish Immigrant Museum, according to organizers.
Cost to participate is $10, and can register before or the day of the show from 9 a.m. to noon. Judging will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m., and awards will be presented at 2 p.m.
Classes are as follows: 100-1949 and older, 200-1950-1959, 300-1960-1969, 400-1970-1979, 500-1980-1989, 600-1990-1999, 700-2000-present, 800-1900-present pick ups, 900-special interest, and 1,000 motorcycles. Stock and modified will be shown together, but judged separately. Music will be provided by DJ Love and there will also be a food stand at the show.
Those who want to register prior to the day of the show should send $10 to Liberty Auto Restoration, Inc., Atten: Car Show, Box 180, Elk Horn, Iowa, 51531. Checks can be made to the Liberty Auto Restoration, Inc. Individuals should also include the following information along with the money: name, address, phone number, make, model and year of the vehicle, class, and whether the vehicle is stock or modified.
