Kading-Nichols Wedding

Published: Friday, June 20, 2008 9:06 AM CDT
Katie Ruth Kading, daughter of Lyle and Nadine Kading of Adair, and Ken Daniel Nichols son of H. David and Deborah Nichols of Greenville, S.C., were united in marriage May 17, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Brayton.

Pastor Darwin Miller and Pastor H. David Nichols performed the ceremony. The altar was decorated with candles surrounded by white roses accented with blue delphiniums. A candle was lit in memory of Ken’s mother who passed away from cancer in 1993. Cody Parmley and Emmet Clemsen lit the candles.

The bride wore a satin A-line dress with lace embroidered cap sleeves and metallic embroidery on the bodice and skirt. She carried a bouquet of white roses with blue rhinestones.

The maid of honor was her sister, Kristi Kading. Bridesmaid was Julia Nichols, sister of the groom.

The flower girt was Elizabeth Nichols, sister of the groom. The ring bearer was Ryan Hoffert, cousin of the bride. The groom was attired in a black suit with a blue tie and a white rose with blue statice for his boutonniere.

The best man was his father, H. David Nichols and his groomsman was Drew Matthews, friend of the couple. The ushers were Dillion Clemsen, Aaron Clemsen, Emmet Clemsen, and Cody Parmley.

The wedding reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The hostesses were Becky Parmley, Rhonda Johnson, Becky Ronfetdt, and Joanne Ducker. The guest book attendant was Jessie Matthews, friend of the bride and groom.

The bride recently received her master’s degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. and plans on finding a job as a legal secretary or administrative assistant.

The groom graduated from Dublin Christian Academy and currently works at Computer Direct Outlet in Greenville, S.C.

Following their honeymoon in Hot Springs, N.C., the couple is living in Taylors, S.C.

Guests attended from Brayton, Atlantic, Adair, Audubon, Exira, Casey, Des Moines, Washington, Omaha, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Alabama, and South Carolina.
