ATLANTIC - From toys to tractors, dishes to dresses, the Walnut AMVET’s Antique Show and Walk will have something for everyone this weekend.
Starting Friday, the event, being held for the 26th year, draws vendors from all over the country offering antiques and collectibles of all kinds, including furniture, primitives, toys, dolls, sporting goods, glassware, and linens, even antique signs, according to organizers.
And for those who get hungry while walking around and shopping, there will be plenty of food.
The Walnut Firemen will offer an all you can eat country breakfast; the Optimists offer a steak fry, and other booths offer things like funnel cakes, pork sandwiches, turkey legs and more. In addition, local restaurants in the area will also be serving.
Organizers said last summer’s event drew 40,000-45,000 people, and this year over 300 vendors from 26 different states will be on hand.
The event is free to the public and free parking is offered.
The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
And for those who worry that dealers will be sold out by later in the weekend, organizers noted that dealers plan for this show and bring a large amount of merchandise, replenishing displays throughout the weekend.
