Kading bridal shower
By Maxine Christensen
A bridal shower was held at 9:30 a.m., Dec. 29, honoring Katie Kading, daughter of Lyle and Nadine Kading, who will be a bride in the near future. Hostesses were ladies of the First Baptist Church in Brayton.
Danna Miller welcomed everyone and asked Kading to introduce her family members. Miller led the guests in a word of prayer, then the group played a game called Bridal Shower Scramble. It consisted of 28 scrambled words. The one with the most unscrambled words was Tiffany Morgan. She had 25 out of the 28 correct answers, and won a coffee mug gift set, which she donated back to the bride-to-be.
A ladies group sang her favorite hynm, “Trust and Obey.” Shari Clemsen gave a devotion on “A New Marriage Beginning.” Scriptures were read from Proverbs 3, 1:30 and Titus 2; 3-4. After a time of fellowship and refreshments, she opened her gifts and thanked everyone present.
