Blood screenings planned
ATLANTIC - Cass County Health System is offering a community blood screening for people ages 18 and over.
The screenings will be held throughout Cass County during October and November. Appointments can be made by calling 243-8006 or 800-993-4345. The cost for the blood profile is $35. Screenings include the following: Lipid Panel (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL), Glucose, Hemoglobin, White Blood Count, Red Blood Count, Hematocrit, Liver Functions, Kidney Functions, Thyroid Screening. Men can also receive a PSA test (prostate cancer screening) for an additional $20. Participants should fast overnight before their appointment, although a small amount of water or black coffee the morning of the blood draw is fine. Appointments will be scheduled between 7 - 9 a.m. for each clinic. Dates and locations of the blood screenings are as follows:
Cass County Memorial Hospital Atrium: Friday, Oct. 26; Monday, Oct. 29 and Thursday, November 8.
Griswold Medical Center: Monday, Nov. 5
Massena Medical Center: Wednesday, Nov. 7
Anita Wellness Center: Monday, Nov. 12
