Patty Hannon Concert set for Oct. 7
Jared Hall, an Atlantic native, will be the guest artist for this year’s Patty Hannon Concert at the United Church of Christ. Hall is currently performing full time as a professional keyboardist and entertainer with a dueling piano act “Pianopalooza” and travels through out the greater Midwest with his show. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Simpson College, has been a music educator in the Des Moines Schools, performed with the Des Moines Symphony, and played with many other groups from gospel to rock n’ roll. The concert will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7 and is free to the public. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
The Patty Hannon Concert is made possible by a bequest to the Church by Lloyd Hannon in memory of his daughter Patty Hannon. Patty died at the age of 18 from a brain tumor and her love of music has continued to touch this community through the Hannon Fund at the Atlantic High School and through the UCC’s annual concert.
The Church is located at 1607 Hazel Street and is fully handicapped accessible.
