Area schools prepare for graduation

Area schools are getting ready for commencement ceremonies scheduled for next month.
A graduation ceremony for Atlantic seniors will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. Class colors are purple and silver and the class flower is a tiger lily. The class song is “Marc’s Car” by Swizzle Tree and the class motto is “Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.”
The CAM High School graduation will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. Class colors are dark purple, black and gold, and the class flower is a white lily. The class song is “Here’s to the Night” by Eve 6, and the class motto is “Tomorrow, today will be the past, Live and make each moment last. The yesterdays and todays we’ll never forget. I pray that the tomorrows we’ll never regret.”
A graduation ceremony for Elk Horn-Kimballton seniors will be held May 20 at 2 p.m. The class flower is the calla lily, and the class colors will be electric blue and silver star. The class motto is “It’s all about the places you’ll never remember with all the friends you’ll never forget.”
The Exira High School graduation will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. The class flower is a white Gerber daisy, and the class colors are lime green and black. The class motto is “We always thought we’d look back on our tears and laugh, but we never thought we’d look back on our laughter and cry.”
Seniors at the Griswold Community High School will participate in commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. The class flower is aoriental lily, and the class colors are royal blue, black and silver. The class motto is credited to Tim McGraw, “We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.”
The Walnut Community School graduation will be held on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. The class flower is a white rose dipped in baby blue, and the class colors are white and baby blue.
